Today through Sunday (4/10–4/12): Improving Conditions; Standout Saturday
The combination of strong high pressure NE of the area with low pressure well offshore will keep thigh-waist-chest high (2–3’+) surf in the water today. A weak cold front approaches into Saturday and overall will weaken the pressure gradient across the area. This results in diminishing winds later Friday and especially Saturday along with improving conditions.
Lingering 2–3’+ surf into Saturday morning combined with the mentioned favorable winds along with lower tides will be the period to watch for the weekend. Winds will trend light to moderate onshore again into Sunday with high pressure north of the area, with marginal knee to waist high (2–3′) semi-bumpy surf, with slightly bigger sets for standout spots.
- 4/10 (Friday): 2–3’+ (Thigh to Chest High) ESE/NE mix. High 71°F. N becoming NE to E winds and easing late. Quality: 🟡.
- 4/11: 2–3’+ (Thigh to Waist High +) lingering energy. High 78°F. Favorable winds & lower tides ✨ in the morning. Quality: 🟢.
- 4/12: 2–3′ (Knee to Waist High) semi-bumpy. Still a few plus sets possible. High 74°F. Light/Mod onshore winds. Quality: 🟡.
Looking Ahead: Warmer, Summer-like Pattern
High pressure will move offshore early to mid next week, resulting in a small mix of ESE swell and local S windswell. Expect mostly 1.5–2.5’ (knee to thigh high) surf with occasional waist-high (3′) peaks for better spots (especially Monday). Winds and conditions will likely be best in the mornings before afternoon S winds lead to bumpier conditions.
At this point, no significant changes are expected mid-to-late next week, with summer-like knee occ. thigh high (1.5–2.5′) surf expected along with warm weather. Conditions will likely be the best in the mornings before S winds get on it during the afternoon/evenings.
- 4/13 (Monday): 2–3′ ESE/S mix. High 76°F. Best winds in AM. Quality: 🟢 / 🟡.
- 4/14: 1.5–2.5′ (Knee to Thigh High) small ESE swell. High 7°F. Morning clean / PM bumpy. Quality: 🟡.
- 4/15 to 4/17: 1.5–2.5′ consistent small but rideable swell, likely best in the mornings. Highs 78–81°F. Quality: 🟡.
Final Thoughts
Saturday morning is the time to target with diminishing winds and lingering swell combined with morning low tide. There should be a little wave around early next week with decent conditions in the mornings. Mid-week transitions into a classic spring/summer diurnal pattern—OK for the bigger boards in the morning, but expect the afternoon chop to shut things down.

Updated WB water temp forecast. More warming!
