Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue Wins Fifth Consecutive Regional Title

We’re proud to announce that the Wrightsville Beach Ocean Rescue (WBOR) competition team has once again claimed the South Atlantic Regional Championship, marking an incredible five-year winning streak.

Last week, our elite team of lifeguards traveled to Nags Head, North Carolina, to compete in the United States Lifesaving Association (USLA) South Atlantic Regional Championships. Through dedication, skill, and teamwork, WBOR earned top-three finishes in 10 out of 14 events, including first-place victories in the Beach Relay, 2K Run, Rescue Race, Landline, and Beach Flags.

Several of our guards also qualified for the USLA National Championships, taking place August 6–9 in Huntington Beach, California, where they’ll represent Wrightsville Beach and defend multiple national titles.
