EXPECT TRAFFIC DELAYS Causeway Drive Closed 6:30am – 10:00am

The Wilmington Family YMCA Triathlon will take place on Wrightsville Beach on Saturday, September 27, 2025, beginning at 6:00 a.m. To accommodate race participants, normal traffic patterns will be temporarily affected.

Drivers should expect delays, particularly in the areas of Causeway Drive (Hwy 76), Old Causeway Drive, Dock Street, Seacrest Drive, Keel Street, Short Street, and Marina Street. Vehicle access will remain open, but traffic may be slowed or redirected. In some cases, Wrightsville Beach police officers may direct vehicles toward the boat ramp area and under the drawbridge.

Please note:

• Eastbound traffic entering Wrightsville Beach will be diverted to Highway 74 / Salisbury Street.

• Westbound traffic leaving the beach must also use Highway 74 / Salisbury Street.

Wrightsville Beach Police will be on site to manage traffic, and normal flow is expected to resume by 10:30 a.m.
