Good morning and happy Friday! It’s a gloomy start to the day but there’s some swell out front and it’s paired with a South wind. The wind doesn’t create any real texture to the faces but it is super disorganized and inconsistent. Currently, wind is around ~10 MPH directly out of the South. Waves look to be in that thigh to waist range with sets coming in occasionally bigger (around waist +). Soft lefts and rights both appear to be working with the primary swell holding a 6s period. We are inching closer to the 9:12am dead low and with the wind shifting slightly to SSW around 10am and holding through the afternoon, I’d look to target the late mid-morning to early afternoon as the tide starts to fill back in. If you are keen on giving it a go this AM, check a couple of your go to spots and be patient for that diamond in the rough! Giving it one logo for potential because there is some swell out there and if you find the right spot or the wind switches, it could be fun! Keep an eye on the cam and check back later for another update! Weekend look ahead: Saturday looks promising as a clean small wave day. Ultimately, wind shifts WSW and lowers to ideal velocities but the primary swell drops significantly to ~2.4ft @ 7s. With beautiful weather forecasted, it could be a solid log, foamie, or small wave machine kind of day. Looking into Sunday, swell starts to build again over the next 24-hours with questionable wind. However, Monday looks promising!
