(Sweetwater will not be doing the Mid-Morning Update today) Good morning! The buoy is showing 1.3 feet at 10 seconds out of the ESE, and we’ve got a small but rideable shin- to knee-high wave rolling in. Conditions are nice and clean thanks to a light NNW wind, but it’s looking a bit shallow out there, most waves aren’t breaking until they hit the beach or inside sandbars. The swell size will remain about the same throughout the day, but the wind is expected to turn onshore this afternoon, so this morning is your best window for anything clean. If you’re thinking about paddling out, grab the right board, keep expectations low, and enjoy the mellow morning conditions while they last.
