(Sweetwater will not be doing the Mid-Morning Update today) Good morning! The buoy is reading 1.6 feet at 10 seconds out of the ESE, and there’s a tiny, ankle-high wave breaking right on the sand. It’s technically surfable, but there’s very little energy in the water and not much depth to work with, expect soft, short rides if you paddle out.Winds are light cross-offshore, which is helping keep things clean, but with the tide dropping, conditions are likely to get even more sluggish. It’s a good day to keep expectations in check. Maybe bring the log, enjoy the ocean, and soak up the morning. There’s always a chance things improve slightly with the next tide push — but for now, it’s pretty mellow out there.
