(Sweetwater will not be updating the Mid Morning or Afternoon Report today, we apologize for the inconvenience) Good morning! It’s looking a bit smaller out there compared to yesterday, but there’s still some surf to be had if you’re keen. The buoy is currently reading 3.3 feet at 6 seconds, and there’s a little waist-high wave breaking at the right spots. It’s not exactly lining up perfectly, but there are definitely a few fun ones in the mix if you’re willing to be patient. The moderate north wind is putting a bit of texture on the surface, giving the ocean a slight bump, but conditions remain manageable overall. While it’s far from pristine, there’s still enough energy in the water to make it worth a paddle. You might have to hunt around for the better peaks, but with the right tide and timing, there are definitely rideable waves on offer. Looking ahead, there’s potential for conditions to improve later in the afternoon as the winds are forecast to lighten up. If that happens, we could see things clean up a bit, especially as the tide fills in. It might be worth keeping an eye on it throughout the day—there could be a sneaky little window if everything comes together. All in all, it’s a mixed bag this morning, but for those willing to put in the time, there’s still some fun to be found out there.
