Sunrise Report

Good morning! There’s a little wind swell in the water today, offering some decent surf conditions if you’re looking to get a session in. The buoy is currently reading 4.6 feet at 6 seconds, which is translating into consistent waist-high waves rolling through. While not huge, there’s enough energy to keep things interesting, especially on the sets.Winds are currently blowing cross-offshore, which is helping to groom the surface and keep conditions semi-clean and manageable. It’s not glassy, but definitely surfable, with some nice corners if you’re in the right spot. The current tide is on the lower side this morning, and it’s shaping up to be the best window of the day to paddle out. The lower tide is allowing more of the swell to break with a bit more shape and push.Be aware that winds are expected to shift more cross-shore as we head into the afternoon, which could make conditions a bit more textured and less organized. If you’re planning to surf today, your best bet is to get out there sooner rather than later and take advantage of the cleaner conditions while they last.
