Sunrise Report

Good morning! We’re waking up to some mellow surf this Thursday with the buoy showing 2.3 feet at 5 seconds. There’s a soft, knee-high wave breaking along the shore — nothing big, but definitely rideable, especially if you’re bringing out the longboard or a higher-volume board.

The wind is light out of the NNW, helping to keep the ocean surface clean and glassy. Conditions are calm and inviting right now, with a glassy texture to the lineup. It’s the kind of morning that’s perfect for logging some smooth, cruisy rides or just enjoying the rhythm of the ocean.

Looking ahead, the wind should stay light through the late morning into early afternoon, but we’re expecting a shift onshore around 2 PM, which could add some texture and chop to the surface. With the tide just starting to come up from this morning’s low, the early window is looking like your best opportunity to get in the water while it’s still clean.
