Good morning! We’ve got a little more short-period windswell in the water today, with waves coming in around the waist-high range. The wind is super light early, which is keeping the ocean surface clean and glassy, definitely a nice look from the beach. That said, the swell is still on the softer side. A lot of the sets are rolling through without much push, and surfers are having to work to get into them. Bringing a board with a bit more volume will give you a much better shot at catching waves and making the most of what’s out there. This morning will be your best window, as the light winds and glassy conditions will hold until the mid-day high tide. Once the tide fills in, expect the waves to slow down even more and lose shape. If you’re thinking about paddling out, earlier is definitely better.
