Sunrise Report

Good morning and happy Saturday! Beautiful sunrise to start the day! We’ve also got the WB Wahine Classic this weekend so if you’re out and about be sure to stop by Stone Street and support some of our local rippers! As for the report, we are making our way to that 7:48am high tide and conditions appear to be coming through around waist occasionally bigger/smaller. The buoy is currently reading 3.9ft @ 5s and wind is out of the NNE/NE around ~9 MPH. There’s a wave breaking out there this AM, however, that shorter period and increasing high tide isn’t doing us any favors at the moment. Waves are offering both left and right rides and the potential is there to race down the line and get in a quick turn/maneuver if you get on the right wave. Some seem to standup better than others while some have some softness to them so keep that in mind for your board choice. Best bet for early AM is your favorite small wave machine or something with a little extra volume to help maximize that fun factor. Be sure to scope out a few spots and see if anything is working for you. Starting the day off optimistically at two logos and hopeful things will improve as that tide starts to drop around the mid-morning window! Swell looks to build slightly throughout the day while wind looks to shift ENE and pick up some after lunch. Low tide is slotted for 2:06pm and the evening high is set for 8:18pm so make sure to keep an eye on the cam and check back later for another update!
