Good morning! We’re looking at minor surf this morning, driven by a short-period SE/ESE swell. Conditions are small and soft overall, with wave heights topping out around knee-high at best. A light onshore breeze is already adding a bit of bump to the surface, and that texture is expected to increase as the day goes on, with a trough to the south beginning to influence local winds.
While it’s not an ideal day for performance surfing, there’s still potential to sneak in a few rides on a longboard. It could also be a good opportunity to get the groms in the water—just enough energy to push them into some playful rides.
Conditions remain weak and on the smaller side throughout the day, so expectations should stay low. Still, if you’re eager to paddle out, there may be a few mellow rides out there.
