Saturday Report

Good morning and happy Saturday! The remnants of Hurricane Isaias is moving into our area and expected to bring a lot of wind and rainfall this weekend! Right now, we are making our way to that 7:34am high tide and conditions are coming through around that stomach to chest range. The buoy is currently reading 3.9ft @ 4s and wind is out of the ENE/E around ~21 mph. There is some swell in the water but its messy and paired with some higher winds! If you are looking to get in the water today, please make sure to know your limits and keep tabs on the forecast! However, at the moment, faces are still clean but things really are not lining up all too well. You’ll need to be patient, find the right spot, and you could potentially find yourself on a few rides. There will certainly be better windows of opportunity throughout the day and weekend so keep an eye on the wind and rain and look for the best window for you. Best bet for those giving it a go would be your go to shortboard and definitely something you can duckdive. Kicking things off at one and half logos for size! Low tide is slotted for 1:57pm and wind looks to hold E and pick after lunch. Be sure to check the radar before heading out the door as the chance of rain looks to increase through the afternoon. Stay safe and have a great day!
