Friday Report

Good morning! The buoy is currently showing 4.9 ft @ 6 seconds out of the east and there is a waist to stomach high wave breaking, with a few slightly bigger sets mixing in. The surf has a short-period look to it, so it is coming in a bit disorganized, and the light north wind is adding some texture to the surface. There should still be some fun waves this morning, especially at standout spots that can handle the shorter period swell and offer a little more shape. Conditions are overall rideable with some punch on the better sets, making it worth a look if you are eager to get in the water. The best window will be early, as winds are expected to turn more onshore into the afternoon, increasing the chop and making things more jumbled. If you are planning to surf, getting on it sooner rather than later will give you the cleanest conditions of the day.
