Afternoon Update:  The tide has a pretty good hold of the surf already.  Only some of the biggest sets around waist high would crumble on the outside.  Your best bet would be on a log or something with a lot of float to it.  A few people up the beach but they weren't catching anything.  They didn't seem to be in the best spot either.  A good amount of people soaking in the late season sunshine.  Maybe find a good high-tide spot and have fun.  Enjoy the rest of the day.
