Afternoon Update: Still much of the same. Building, choppy and drifty out of the north.  It looks like a washing machine, but some look like maybe worth the trouble.  If the wind dies down before dark it'll clean up some.   There still are a lot of people on the beach so be on the look out for swimmers and especially weak swimmers that may be in need.

To all new UNCW students and visting surfers.  Be respectful, split the peak, and wear your leashes.  Many people have worked really hard the last three years to improve the surf zones here in WB so that you can have more room and surf pretty much anywhere during the day.  Not wearing a leash could get you a $100 ticket.  You aren't impressing anyone losing your board and having to swim in for it.
