Lunchtime Update: It looks better than when I got to surf this morning. I got a couple of fun ones that I had to work for earlier this morning. You still will have to work hard to snag a good one, but it's not as irregular now and the waves are more even. There are some really strong rips that are weakening some of the shoulders, but at least the backwash isn't as tough as this morning. If you're charging there is a good chance you'll get pounded on the inside, even on the good waves. They are breaking pretty hard and fast and with the longer lines there are still a bunch of closeouts. I feel like there are better spots on the island than out front so it's an easy day to look around and spread out. Be safe and have fun.
