Afternoon Update

Still a few waves out there but the wind has made a mess of the lineup.  There is a good bit of chop on the surface and the drift looks pretty bad.  You could still get a decent peak here or there, but keep your expectations tempered and don’t expect any long rides.  If you already got some waves this morning, I would probably take a pass.  If you need to get in the water then I would say grab a good groveller and go for it.  Have a great afternoon and stay safe out there.   The Town of Wrightsville Beach will open ocean and sound side beach access points and beaches for LIMITED ACCESS at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 20th.  Click HERE for more information.  We will start doing reports again at this time with 3 reports a day until normal operating hours resume.
