Mike Whitacre Paddle-Out Ceremony
The Wrightsville Beach surf community will gather on Monday, June 16, to honor the life and legacy of Mike Whitacre with a paddle-out ceremony at Wrightsville Beach.
The paddle-out will begin at approximately 6:00 PM following a private ceremony and will take place at Access 8, located in front of the Beachfront Holiday Inn. Friends, family, surfers, and community members are invited to join in celebrating Mike’s life and the impact he had on those around him.
Paddle-outs are a longstanding tradition within the surfing community, offering an opportunity to come together, share memories, and pay tribute to those who have left a lasting mark on our lives both in and out of the water.
Whether you knew Mike personally or simply wish to support his family and friends, all are welcome to attend.
