This week’s featured board is the Disco by Sharp Eye Surfboards.
The Disco has been a proven shape for Sweetwater as one of the most purchased boards for many years.. A reliable, yet high performance shape, that can handle most conditions. A steady rocker in both the nose and tail provide performance aspects and the wider outline gives some extra paddle power. Great at generating speed so it excels on small days, especially if you want something that’s able to provide performance on those less than appealing swells.

Our favorite globe trotter, Benny B, coincidentally happened to be home for a couple days with a swell looming but without boards. The 5’8″ Disco on the rack caught his eye so he took upon himself to christen it over at Masonboro that swell.
Here’s what Ben had to say about the Disco: “Its a great board for our area because we have pretty soft waves most of the time. I liked the extra foam. It gave the board extra drive and carried speed over the flat sections. I started ordering my custom Sharp Eyes a bit thicker after riding that one. Another plus about that board is that its not a full blown groveler so you can still surf tight in the pocket and ride it from 1-6 feet. Its a great all around go to performance shortboard and that’s why a lot of guys on the QS are riding them.”
