Afternoon Update: The waves keep coming and so does the cold. The wind chill is reading 25 degrees, but there are some guys out catching a few of the bombs. The drift is just bad enough now that I saw a guy drifting about a block or so before making it out and guys down the beach are doing the walk back. It's starting to get a little tougher to catch with the tide filling in. The bigger sets are still pushing, but the waves are starting to section off and not hold up down the line like they were doing earlier. Bring some thick rubber and it will be worth it still. There should still be waves even with the tide, but the wind is trying to back off a little. It's suppose to pick up though so if you plan to go I'd go now. Have fun and stay warm if you go. Sweetwater will be closing at 5:00 pm due to the weather today. We'll keep you posted on hours tomorrow. Be safe and stay warm.
