Sunrise Report

Good morning! We’ve got some surf on tap today with a little wind swell still hanging around. The buoy is reading 4.3 feet at 6 seconds, delivering a semi-choppy waist to stomach-high wave at most exposed spots. While it’s not perfectly clean out there, there’s definitely some fun to be had if you’re willing to put in a little work.A moderate cross-offshore wind out of the north is blowing this morning, adding some surface texture and bump to the lineup. It’s not glassy by any means, but the wind direction is still helping to hold things together and keep the waves from breaking too early. There are some peaky, rideable sets coming through—you’ll just have to be selective and hunt them down between the chop. This morning’s low tide is shaping up to be the best window to score. The lower tide is allowing a few more waves to stand up and break with some shape before the incoming tide starts to fatten things out. Conditions are expected to deteriorate a bit as the wind shifts more cross-shore and picks up into the afternoon, so if you’re looking to paddle out, earlier is definitely better.

All in all, it’s not epic, but there’s some fun surf to be had for those who are motivated. Bring a little patience, keep your eyes on the sets, and you could sneak in a few good ones.
