Rebuilding surf on tap thanks to pre-frontal S windswell. While overall conditions aren’t ideal, there’s still some rideable energy out there. This morning, we’re seeing small but workable waves in the knee-to-thigh-high range, with the better spots occasionally pushing waist high. Sideshore winds are in play, making things a bit messy across the region.
Look for a bump in size heading into the afternoon as the swell continues to rebuild. Moderate to breezy SSW winds will keep surface conditions choppy, but it’s not a total write-off. Keep your eyes on those S-wind-protected areas, especially on the north sides of piers or jetties — those could offer your best shot at cleaner lines.
