In Loving Memory of Jimmy Ellington (1972–2025)

Jimmy Ellington, beloved former owner of The Skate Barn in Hampstead, passed away at 52 after a courageous battle with cancer. For over two decades, he dedicated himself to fostering a welcoming and inclusive community through skateboarding, music, and mentorship. Under his leadership, The Skate Barn became more than just a skate park—it was a home for countless individuals seeking inspiration and belonging.

Beyond his passion for skateboarding, Jimmy was known for his deep faith, generosity, and kindness. His commitment to uplifting others extended beyond the park and into his church and community. His impact will forever be felt in the lives he touched, and his legacy of compassion and inclusivity will live on.

Rest in peace, Jimmy. You will be dearly missed.
