Good Afternoon everyone! The conditions are not great behind the shop. I saw a few waist high peaks when I first walked out to the beach, but they quickly disappeared. Most of the waves are soft, mushy knee to thigh high close-outs. The wind is also causing a slight drift. All-in-all, the conditions don’t look good enough to make me want to risk getting in the water. So there are conflicting results on the local water quality. NC Coastal Federation said there were high level of bacteria in the water and NC Division of Marine Fisheries said levels were safe. I’m still skeptical and will wait it out a bit longer. Be smart and safe if you decide to get in the water. See the new section below for more water quality press releases. Have a great day. *Sweetwater’s All For Fall Sale!
