Strong onshore winds are in full effect this morning, and there’s plenty of surf in the water. The buoy’s up to 7.5 feet at 8 seconds, and the actual surf looks a bit bigger than the forecast, wouldn’t be surprised to see chest-high+ to head-high sets at the more exposed spots. Conditions are definitely on the choppy side with those side/onshore winds keeping things messy early.
That said, the winds are expected to ease off a bit this afternoon and shift more SSW, which could open up a window for some chunky, wind-swept peaks. It’s not exactly clean, but there’s solid energy out there,might be worth a paddle if you're itching for a session.
