14th Annual Hope from Helen Surf Silent Auction
On Friday, December 6, 2019, join the local community for an amazing night of fun, food, and friends, all to support charity. The 14th Annual Hope from Helen Surf Silent Auction will take place from 6:30-9:30pm at the Blockade Runner Beach Resort in Wrightsville Beach, NC. The event is presented by WBLivesurf.com with food by Tower 7. This year’s event is being held in memory of Josh Vach. Admission is free but donations are always appreciated. 750-1000 people attend the event each year.
Anyone interested in donating items for the auction or raffle may contact Kelly Barnes at 910-297- 0448 or kelly.barnes@townebankmortgage.com or drop off items off at Sweetwater Surf Shop or Annex Surf Supply in Wrightsville Beach during normal business hours. Donated auction and raffle items must be received by Wednesday, November 27th ; items received after the 27th will be designated as raffle items. All donations are tax deductible and a donation receipt should be completed when the item is donated.
Auction bidding is done via mobile devices or website bidding, thru BidPal/OneCause. Visit the auction website to view and bid on items: www.bidpal.net/HopefromHelen2019. The auction will go live for online bidding at least a week prior to the event. In order to bid on auction items – online or at on event night – credit cards need to be REGISTERED on the website or at the event registration table.
Auction items include surfboards, paddleboards, artwork, jewelry, vacation packages, skateboards, shoes, bicycles, spa packages, shopping sprees to area retailers, and many more amazing items. In addition, there will be a raffle with amazing prizes given away throughout the event.
Hope from Helen (HFH) is a 501(c) 3 non-profit charity that supports local and global charities dedicated to health, education, the environment, animal welfare, and individuals and families in need. Since inception, over $1M has been raised to support local and global charities. HFH was started in 2005 in honor of Helen Butler, who fought a courageous battle against lung and breast cancer. Helen was the mother of wblivesurf.com owner and Sweetwater Surf Shop partner, Tony Butler and eilivesurf.com owner, Ron Butler.
