Good morning Wrightsville Beach!
We have another summer day with thunderstorms surrounding the area. Walking out to check the surf, the dark ocean skies were lit up by the occasional lightning from way out at sea. The surf is not amazing, but surprisingly was breaking slightly even through the high tide. A few peaks up and down the beach would have a ridable set in the waist-high range every three minutes or so. Pick your sandbar correctly if you go out this morning. Winds are light out of the south, bringing a little bit of texture onto the faces of the waves. Maybe the waves will improve as the tide gets lower today. Watch out for the pop-up storms, but after the storms sometimes there is a small window of offshore winds.
Have a great day!
