Good morning! It feels like a classic spring morning here on Wrightsville Beach, and the surf we have may be the best shot we have all weekend to catch some waves. The surf is in the thigh high range, with an occasional waist high set. We’re just coming off of low tide, so the waves are still breaking pretty well on the outside. As the morning continues, the surf will start to get soft or even turn into shore-break as we near the 11:49am high tide. Winds are light out of the south-southwest at around 8-10 mph, the winds may drop slightly through the morning, but will likely increase into the afternoon as the day heats up. I’m going to give it one logo, mainly because this seems to be the best surf window of the weekend. I’ll be riding a foamboard this morning, but you could sneak into some on a fish if you are keen to ride something short.
