Good morning! The waves out back are firing! Fair warning, they are a classic Wrightsville wave that rolls and is a little mushy, but if you find a good shoulder there is a fun ride to be had. They sadly aren’t barreling but are more of a big meatball. The waves are breaking around chest high, with some stand outs coming overhead. Despite the high tide the waves are still breaking pretty far out with plenty of room to ride. Low tide is at 12:28 and the surf should continue to build. The wind is blowing at 3.4 mph North, but the faces and lines are clean. I would suggest a mid-length board for today, the guys who were logging/mid-length this morning were having more success catching waves just due to the tide and the lack of punch. There is still a great short board wave your just going to work or sit a while in-between set. Be safe and mindful of others today the water is packed and check in later for another surf update.
