Afternoon Update:  It's rideable and the set waves look fun. There's  lots of wind and chop, but in the right spot still okay. Just have to run and gun down the line.  To all those newer surfers please learn the surfing etiquette and please know your limits (see main photo in Lunchtime Update).  Red flag conditions the next several days with the approaching swell from Hurricane Bill.  The site will be running a little slow with the traffic over the weekend.

Note:  Welcome new UNCW students.  Please make sure you click on the 2009 WB Surfing Regulations and Zones link below.  We have worked hard to make surfing better here in WB.  Please don't ruin it for all who have worked so hard so please take the time to educate yourself on the regulations here in WB.  Most importantly, please wear your leash at all times or it could be a $100 fine or you could hurt someone with your board.  Also to all who visit in the coming days of the swell from Bill.  Respect each other, split the peak, and have fun.
