- Cooler but still small-scale surf Sunday
- Minimal surf early next week
- Slightly more SE windswell through mid next week
Forecast Discussion
Today through Sunday (11/21–11/23): Minimal Surf; Minor NE Windswell Sunday
Weak high pressure remains offshore today and Saturday as a front approaches from the west. This supports developing SW winds Saturday with continued minimal surf. A cold front moves offshore Saturday night, bringing moderate N/NE winds Sunday, but only minor local wind chop for WB.
Friday (11/21): Mostly less-than-knee-high surf with developing S to SW winds.
Saturday (11/22): Minimal surf in the 0.5–1 ft range (ankle to shin high). Moderate SW winds and warm temps in the mid 70s.
Sunday (11/23): Cooler NNE winds behind the front with surf in the ankle- to knee-high range. Highs in the low to mid 60s.
Looking Ahead: Small but Slightly More SE Swell Toward Thanksgiving
High pressure north of the area Monday moves offshore midweek as the next front approaches. This setup provides only small local windswell and SE swell mix—mostly knee high or less. Slightly stronger SE windswell is possible late Tuesday into Thanksgiving Thursday. The front moves offshore late week with variable winds that trend N by Friday and Saturday.
Early Week (Nov 24–25): Minor SE swell and local windswell mix, knee high or less. Slightly stronger SE windswell possible later Tuesday. Light N winds Monday shift to E then SE/S Tuesday.
Mid to Late Week (Nov 26–28): Small pre-frontal S windswell and SE swell mix for Wednesday and Thursday, followed by minor NE windswell into the weekend. Expect surf in the 1–2 ft (shin- to knee-high) range, with a few larger SE peaks Wednesday and Thanksgiving Day. Longboard waves are possible Thursday with potentially favorable winds, though confidence decreases this far out.
Final Notes
Overall Best Forecast Window: Limited options. Low-tide longboard waves look most promising. Slightly more SE windswell/swell expected mid next week—especially Thanksgiving Day—and worth keeping an eye on.
